Mariere Johnson Ohwode is a Partner. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1993. He specializes in Dispute Resolution, Transport Law, Energy and Natural Resources, Environmental Issues, Finance and Litigation. Before he joined the law firm, he worked in other law firms and he was a Legal Fellow at the Centre For Law & Development Studies, Lagos from 2002 and 2003, where he participated actively in legal research into various aspects of law and giving opinions to several corporate bodies such as the Shell Petroleum & Development Company (SPDC), Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, the Security & Exchange Commission, the Nigerian Maritime Authority (NMA), the Nigerian Legal Aid Council, Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), and State Ministries of Justice. He is an experienced litigator having argued cases at all levels of the courts.
Education
He was educated at the University of Calabar and was one of the best graduating students in the Faculty of Law of the University earning a 2nd Class Upper Division Degree in 1992.
